Foundation Briefings June 6th

Good Morning Saint John Paul II Academy Community,

In the Gospel of Saint Matthew, Jesus reminds us:

“Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in Heaven.”

(Matthew 5:16)

As followers of Jesus Christ, we are called not only to speak about the Gospel, but to live it each day. Some of the most powerful preaching is not done from a pulpit, but through the witness of a faithful life.
Be the change and the love you wish to see in the world.
Be the love.
Be the care.
Be the compassion.
Be the kindness.
Be the disciple of God.
Last Friday was truly a grace filled and historic day for Saint John Paul II Academy as we welcomed His Grace Archbishop Richard Smith to our school community.
We were deeply honoured to celebrate the Holy Mass together, giving thanks to God for His many blessings upon our community. His Grace’s presence among us was a powerful reminder of the beauty of our Catholic faith and the importance of keeping Jesus Christ at the centre of all that we do.
Following Mass, Archbishop Smith generously spent time with our students, sharing lunch, fellowship, and conversation. His kindness, warmth, and genuine interest in our young people made a lasting impression on everyone present. Moments such as these inspire our students to grow in faith, leadership, service, and love for God and neighbour.
On behalf of the entire Saint John Paul II Academy community, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to Your Grace for taking the time to visit our school, celebrate the Eucharist with us, and share in the life of our community.
Your presence was a tremendous blessing, and we will cherish this special day for years to come.
May God continue to bless you abundantly as you shepherd the faithful with wisdom, courage, humility, and love.
A Special Reminder for This Saturday, June 13

Guests will have the opportunity to meet John Banovich personally, view a curated collection of artwork and photography, learn the stories behind many of his remarkable images, and enjoy an evening of fellowship and inspiration.
Please do let us know if you are planning to attend so we can prepare accordingly.
This week also marks the final week of our Chapel Masses before the summer break.
Every Tuesday and Friday we have been blessed to celebrate the Holy Mass through the generosity and faithful service of Father Augustine and Father Edwin.
We extend our sincere gratitude to both priests for nourishing our community through the Eucharist throughout the year. Their dedication, spiritual leadership, and love for our community have been a tremendous blessing.
Our Chapel Masses will reconvene in September.
Likewise, our daily morning briefings will pause for the summer months and will return in September. You will continue to hear from the Foundation from time to time throughout the summer as we share important updates, celebrations, and opportunities within our community.
As we enter the summer season, may we continue to carry Christ with us wherever we go. May we encourage one another, support one another, and love one another as Christ has loved us.
“By this everyone will know that you are My disciples, if you love one another.” (John 13:35)
Thank you for your prayers, your generosity, your friendship, and your commitment to our mission.
May God bless our community, and may Our Lady continue to guide and protect each of us.
Totus Tuus.
