“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.”
Galatians 6:2
“For where 2 or 3 gather in My name, there am I with them.”
Matthew 18:20
Good morning everyone and blessed Friday, May 22.
The Gospel reminds us today of the beauty of communion, community, and walking together in love. God never intended for us to journey alone. As the Body of Christ, we are called to pray together, support one another, encourage one another, and carry one another through both joyful moments and difficult seasons.
At Saint John Paul II Academy, we witness this beauty every single day. We see parents supporting families, students uplifting one another, staff serving with joyful hearts, and our entire community coming together with faith, kindness, generosity, and love. There are truly many hands and hearts that make this school such a beautiful Catholic community.
This morning, we ask our entire school family to gather together in prayer for Donna Crombie’s father in law, Dave, who is expected to pass soon. We also pray for his son Jason, for Donna, for their children and grandchildren, and for all who love him deeply.
Lord Jesus,
Wrap Dave and his family in Your peace, mercy, and love.
Bring comfort to every heart that is grieving.
Surround them with strength, faith, and hope during this difficult time.
May Dave feel Your presence beside him and may Our Blessed Mother gently guide him into Your loving embrace.
We pray especially for Jason, Donna, their children, and grandchildren.
May they feel the prayers and support of this community carrying them during this time.
Amen.
Today is a beautiful day to begin together in the chapel with prayer and Holy Communion. There is something deeply meaningful about gathering before God together as one family. In the Eucharist, we are reminded that Christ is truly present among us. He nourishes our hearts, strengthens our spirits, and unites us in faith, love, and purpose. What a gift it is to begin our day in His presence with gratitude and joy.
For those following the beautiful journey of Our Lady of the Mountains Parish in Whistler, we are grateful to Dr. Heather Dagenais for sharing this wonderful update. Nestled among the breathtaking mountains of Whistler, Our Lady of the Mountains Parish has become a spiritual home where families, visitors, and parishioners gather to worship, pray, and grow in faith together. Through the generosity and dedication of many faithful hearts, this parish community continues to flourish as a beacon of Christ’s love in the mountains.
We would also be honoured to share the following invitation with our community:
