At the heart of the Saint John Paul II Academy logo is the Marian Cross, a powerful symbol drawn from the personal coat of arms of Pope Saint John Paul II.

The large Latin cross represents the central mystery of Christian faith—the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Beneath it, the letter “M” signifies the Blessed Virgin Mary, who stood faithfully at the foot of the Cross, as described in the Gospel of John (19:25). This symbol highlights Mary’s essential role in the mystery of salvation and her maternal presence in the life of the Church.

The phrase “Totus Tuus” (Latin for “Totally Yours”) was Saint John Paul II’s apostolic motto and reflects his deep personal devotion to Mary and his complete consecration to Jesus through her.
